Summer Themed Beer Stein

Solid pewter schnapps shot krug with a three panel relief decoration from originals by Tyrolean painter Franz von Defregger (1835-1921).  Defregger was well known for motifs from Tyrolean rural daily life and this Summer Evening (Summerabend) theme mini stein is beautiful example.  

In the panel to the right (of the front) you can almost smell the scent of freshly harvested hay – a well deserved rest!
A musician plays the Zither and fills the fresh air with a melancholy sound on the front.  The left shows a cozy gathering after the hunt.

Artistic scrolls frame the scenes.
